A Fine Mess
No One & The Nobodies
Contrary of their name, No One & The Nobodies do very much exist. The band was started in 2006 by Thomas Hall and Mario Diaz, and later grew with the addition of Hall’s friend Mark Stephans who left Chicago for the band’s current location of California, where they began recording demos last summer.
After requiring a drummer, the recording moved to friend Greg Ashley’s studio in Oakland, where they created the album Grew Some Feet which will be the first release on Filthy Lesson Records and can be preordered here.
No One & The Nobodies have a very psychedelic sound to them, their guitars bringing 60′s and 70′s rock to mind. Usually this is something that doesn’t appeal much to me, but the song “Dilapidated Girl” spoke to me at once thanks to the already mentions guitars and Thomas Hall’s near slurring singing style. And after listening more intently to their other available tracks I’m even more curious of the album.
