I Am The Crime
A Fine Mess

These are tracks that I meant to post on the blog earlier, but forgot or was otherwise unable to. My apologies. Let’s hope they’ve not become too sensory depraved in their isolation.
~ 23RAINYDAYS – “The Blackest Days” ~
Dark synth pop I guess you could call this (or “Post Punk Dance Metal” as band describes it). Meant to review the whole EP but trouble with getting the correct tracklist made too much time pass by and I lost interest. Imagine this sound could fair well with the teens.
~ Run Hide Survive – “Dyson” ~
The main reason I remembered this track is thanks to Sean who posted a remix by these guys yesterday. Their own original stuff is good as well, which this sharp club track proves.
~ Eric Sarmiento – “Reptiles” ~
Elegant indie-pop with electronical elements. His other songs sound a bit different from this one, but they’re good as well.
~ Röyksopp – “The Girl and The Robot” (Chateau Marmont Remix) ~
A remix of their latest single featuring Robyn. I got bored with the original version rather quickly, so it’s nice with a remix to freshen things up a bit.
~ The Silent Years – “Forest Fire” ~
From their Let Go EP, which is pretty good overall. This is a sweet little indie tune, starring a a cute melody, chopped up drum beat and whistling.

Yeah, the original reminded me of just how much I don’t like Robyn. Something about her irks me.

Her voice can be a bit too squeeky at times.

Really like “The Blackest Days”- 23RAINYDAYS. Sounds a bit like early Depeche with some Placebo mixed in. Thanks!

I don’t normally listen to indie pop. But when I do, I listen to The Silent Years.

That’s a pretty good description!
