The Goodnight Loving Album, Tour Dates

Kind of ironic how I can’t sleep and am instead writing about a band called The Goodnight Loving, no? They play charming garage rock, tinted with quite a bit of jangle pop (rather like The Exploding Hearts, who are one the same label, Dirtnap) but also with a hefty dose of country- and folk rock. Their album The Goodnight Loving Supper Club is due July 21st and will be supported by touring upon its release on the following dates:

Tigercity Tour Dates, Album, Video

Electronically driven indie-rockers Tigercity have a couple of US tour dates coming up, in support of their new record Ancient Lover.
I’ve had a quick listen of it and have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. They sound rather like a modern (and judging from the picture, a less glamorous looking) version of Roxy Music most of the time, and coming from someone who loves Roxy Music, that is indeed a compliment.
Besides the album and tour, the guys also have a new video for the single “Fake Gold” which you can view here (and don’t miss the mp3 at the end of the post).

New Echo & the Bunnymen

Hey, Echo & the Bunnymen are back! Wait, were they ever really gone? Their new album The Fountain is coming out October 12 which is also the same date when when they kick off touring. Have a listen to the opening track “I Think I Need It Too” off the new album below and see what you think. I like it, although I’m not completely sure if it’s solely because it’s a good track, or if it’s the old Echo & the Bunnymen sound that’s making me feel nostalgic. Could very well be both.

The Octopus Project “Wet Gold” Video, Tour Dates

Two video posts in a row? What on earth is going on? Well how was I supposed to resist The Octopus Projects‘ new video when I saw the above screen caption? Two green, um, things standing by the sea in front of a lady in a pretty dress who just happens to be waving flags (actually, she’s spelling out “Wet Gold” using semaphore) that are in my favorite color – brilliant! And when you actually watch the video you’ll discover that it also has a singing water raft and funny looking sea creatures:
The song is from the band’s current EP Golden Beds and the video is featured on the enhanced version which also has an additional five tracks and seven videos. The band is currently touring North America in support of the Golden Beds EP on the following dates:
