Making mixtapes was a near obsession for me when I was younger. My best friend and I would make one for each other almost every week, filled with good songs, silly songs, horrible songs – all with our own intros. We’re both grown up now but I still haven’t gotten over my love for making mixtapes, although today they’re in the form of either Cd’s or zip files. That’s why I’m making this tribute to not only mixtapes but cassette tapes in general. I also have to give a shout out to Me and the Horse I Rode In On for inspiring me with his song which is featured in this mix.
