Solitary Confinement

Once again, it’s time to post some songs I meant to have up on the blog ages ago but then got lazy/depressed/forgetful/distracted or simply figured that everyone else had already posted them so what’s the point? until now. I’m sorry, little mp3s. Come join your brothers and sisters on the courtyard of this fine prison of mine. Just don’t complain about the lack of organisation.

The Anti-Christmas

Christmas isn’t all about being merry. It’s quite the opposite for many: dreaded family reunions, fights, traffic accidents… You get my point. Those who aren’t filled with Christmas cheer shouldn’t think they’re alone though (or worry that they’re turning into Ebenezer Scrooge) and I have two holiday themed songs prove it.

First is a near epic tune by much hyped band The Joy Formidable. I think its title says it all:

~ “My Beerdrunk Soul is Sadder Than a Hundred Dead Christmas Trees” ~

Secondly is a song by a gentleman who’s been mention on the site quite a lot lately, Me and the Horse I Rode in On. His holiday themed tune is very  melancholic with lyrics I think a lot of people can identify with this time of year:

~ “Driving Home For Christmas” ~

Regardless of what your relationship with yuletide may be though, I hope you all have a great week. And stay out of trouble!
