It feels kind of sad to admit that music videos don’t mean that much to me anymore. As a kid I was glued to MTV and making up my own videos in my head was a favorite pass time of my mine (OK, maybe it still is).
Since MTV is mostly just crappy reality shows these days and looking at music videos online seems rather pointless, I’ve fallen out of the loop quite a bit (except for the Britney ones, gotta watch those!).
But lo and behold! I’ve stumbled upon a music video that I really like, the new one for DD/MM/YYYY’s song “Infinity Skull Cube” (which is a pretty good song, by the way).
It’s all very self-centered though: I’m currently trying to get back into drawing – another thing I did quite a bit as a kid - and this video is perfect in that regard as it’s all animated in that cool, kinda sloppy style I wish I could pull off (somewhat similar to that of Sara Hansson who drew the accompanying picture to this post).

Anna Ternheim recently invited some of her fellow Swedish songsters to record a wonderful acapella version of “Summer Rain”, off her new album Leaving On a Mayday. Featured in the clip are Ane Brun, Nina Kinert, Ellekari Larsson from The Tiny and Johanna och Klara from First Aid Kit. It was filmed by Christian Haag in Decibel Studios, Stockholm:

Check out the sparkling new video from The Pipettes – “Because It’s Not Love (But It’s Still a Feeling)”. Naturally it’s filled with the band’s trademarks of polka-dots, bright colours and synchronized dancing:
Cute or what? And such a great song.
